Vacancy for PhD-project 'The Ethics of Nicotine Vaccination'
at the Department of Health, Ethics and Society, Maastricht University
For the project 'The ethics of nicotine vaccination' we are looking for
a PhD student. The project has a duration of 4-5 years (1.0 or 0.8 fte)
and is part of larger research program on nicotine vaccination at
Maastricht University. The project will be carried out at the department
of Health, Ethics and Society.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the ethical and societal
debate on nicotine vaccination as a therapeutic and preventive strategy.
The project combines empirical research (incl. focus groups) and
normative reflection on the responsibilities involved.
Profile: Master in philosophy, ethics, health- or social sciences, with
a proven interest in normative questions regarding the interface of
medicine and society. Good mastering of the English language, both
verbally and in writing, is required.
